Two months ago, If you had asked me which website I would go to shop for clothes, I probably couldn't give you a specific answer. There are so many factors that we have to take into considerations before we decide to buy anything, especially on a budge. well, I mean me. I like to do research before I do everything :) I like minimal style, and to be practical, I would like the clothes I purchased can be at least match 3 outfits in my closet. But now I can tell you the most frequent online shopping site I go to is Abercrombie Fitch. What?! Yes, Abercrombie returns. Fitch returns with new look, new pricing, and new size.
Sure, there are so many cute trendy high fashion online store that sell clothes for cheap. But I had a sweater dress split into half second time I wore it.
In case you don't know about this brand, let me fill you in with some history. A&F is one of the american brand with a long history and is also one of the american most hated brand. This used to be the cool brand got sued so many times for its "look policy". It means that they have a good looking policy to their employees, trying to represent this image like " we only sell clothes to beautiful people". when they say beautiful, i think they mean skinny.
Here is my real experience. About 10 years ago, I went to their store to buy a pair of jean shorts. The light in the whole shop is dim, and there are shirtless men walking around (models). So I picked a size 26 trying to get out of there as soon as possible. The cashier looked at the size and looked at me with the look like 26? you shouldn't shop here. So I spent $70 just to buy a pair of jean shorts and was marked as FAT. That is my first time and my last time to walk in the a&f store. Two month ago, one of my friends in china asked me if there are some sales going on for abercrombie. I was like "are you living in the past or are you living in the future? I thought they were closed a long time ago. The truth is : neither. I was living in the past.
The look:effortless looking, oversized laid back feeling, good cut and fit. So I went online and checked their website. Wow, this is the second time I thought I was hallucinating. If you know what they used to look like, you would understand the feeling. I feel in love with the clean and minimal design and those pale skin models' effortless looks. lavender cashmere sweater, retro plaid shirt, turtle neck top, velvet top. They almost include all the trendy stuffs in 2018. nowadays, logos and brands seem to be less important while keeping in touch with trends are essential. moose logo is not everywhere anymore, hoodies are getting less and less. instead, i see trendy, high quality pieces.
Quality: supreme material. soft, light and comfy. Now, lets talk about the quality. Just by looking at the details of the model pictures and the ingredient, their quality is supreme. And of course I always check online store reviews. almost all of their products get at least 4.5 star. Now, I am at ease. I especially love their jeans. If you are like me, like comfy stretchy skinny jeans, like topshop style, i recommend take a look at their jeans. high waist ed, low waist ed, those jeans are fitting and feels like second skin.
Price: so much cheaper than before and compared to other brands with similar quality and look. When I told my friends, she was shocked and so did I. So of course the best way to know is to buy right? Those are what I got. I am beyond being satisfied.
Here are some outfits I bought:)
Then why not many people noticed this. We all know that now social media is everything. The retails that are winning loyalties are those who utilize social media successfully. Free people for example , successfully use Instagram to expand their business. Abercrombie? I don't see advertisement anywhere, they definitely don't have affiliate program. Trust me,I only speak truly from my heart.
So next time, when you think about going online shopping, maybe take a look at their site, maybe you will find something that can be both trendy and high quality.
