paI It has been always hard to pick outfit for me. After 7 years of marriage, me and my husband kinda have an unspoken agreement that we do not buy each other outfit as holiday gifts. But this year, my husband is obsessed with men style, and he wants to challenge the rule again. so i said "good luck". well, i actually said more than that, i said " you know pointy toe shoes are always more stylish..."
He came back with 2 cashmere sweaters and a pair of Stuart Weizmann patent flats.
To be honest, at the first glance, I didn't even realize that two sweaters are for me... Since I cant wait to return two of those, I didn't get a chance to take a picture of each of them. But luckily, I found the images online.
I actually kept the pink tie sleeve cashmere sweater. Even though I will never buy this kind of style for myself. But it is cute, right? Part of the reasons that we want other people pick outfit for us is to try different ideas and maybe develop a new style. As far as the cardigan, it is warm to put on. But I can't imagine have that burgundy color to cover most of my body. I love burgundy color. Most of my bags are burgundy color. But it is very dangerous to use a lot on your body especially for asians. And the actual cardigan doesn't have pockets like the image, no cutting on the side. It is a very dark red long cardigan. When I first looked at the shoes, i didn't realize it is start Weizmann. Patent shoes always look cheap to me. Also, can I wear this in winter? how many outfit I have to match this pair of shoes. I am very practical. I will go through all of this thinking process before I buy anything. So I said sorry and went to the same store with him and picked up some outfit myself.
Those are what I picked. A burgundy leather jacket, Stuart Weizmann suede tassel loafers, and a grey cashmere tie bell sleeve sweater. All three pieces have sort of neutral color, so it is easy to match most of my outfit. The pink cashmere tie sleeve sweater is cute, but it is just not practical. My arms are freezing. It feels like I didn't wear anything at all.
I know there is always different opinions about fashion and style, especially when it comes to 2 different genders, and 2 different culture. I forgot to mention that he is Caucasian, I am Asian.
well, at least he choose the right size. Let me know if you have ran into same problems like these.
