How to look expensive when you are on a budget? Let's use the phrase "put together" instead of the word "expensive". Believe it or not, almost every girl that comes to a stylist wants to look like a Millionäre.
While we always teach our kids that beauty comes from inside, which is 200% true. On some occasions, when you only have 5 minutes to meet someone, you really want to dress to impress. There are already so many great articles talking about how to be stylish. I am going to use some examples, trying to explain in more details.
1. Have a clean & flawless skin, which is a must if you want to look put together. Beauty and fashion are so close to each other, they follow almost the same basic rules. If you take a look at the people you consider stylish, I bet all the women have at least their lipsticks on, and for men, their eyebrows are trimmed.
If you every wondered why some people can just wear a simple white shirt and black pants, but it feels like they come out of the Magazine. A sleek back ponytail will never go out of fashion industry.
2. Try to mix n match the fabric you are wearing. It may sounds complicated, but believe me, there is no specific rule about which fabric matches which fabric. Just play around and see people's reaction. Take a look at 2018's street trends: sequin dress with winter jacket, velvet dress with mock neck cutton shirt. Oversized plaid shirt as a jacket.
Of course, there are so many more tips, such as wearing pointy toe flats over round toes, carry a more structured bag. I will talk about next time.
