Even though there are certain dress code in the office, it doesnt mean you cant get a little bit fun out of it. just a small change can totally change the impression you give people. and whats more important, it is really fun for youself too. So lets start. Here are some inspirations:

​Changing the outfit color from black and white to more neutral color tone such as brown, grey and even navy blue. neutral colors can match almost all the colors. They are safe yet bring more colors to your life.

2. Wear a fit and unique pencil skirt. pencil skirt is almost universally flattering. a different slit on the side or a abstract design can transform a boring outift to a fashion magazine cover shot.

3. Wide leg pants is a must if you want to prove you are stylish in your office. Match it with a short moto jacket, or wear a H line tweed jacket. You will be the queen.

4. Take off the high heels, wear those statement loafers. Lofers are sure a statement for style. pair it with a trouts, you are good to go

5.wear a silk scarf or a belt on a dress can totally change the look of the outfit. Detail is everything. 

If you think you may have makeup addiction, you are not alone. I was there. I know many people have been there. This happens when you first started learning how to apply makeups, or when you first started your Youtube channel. Or, like me before, the addiction is not coming from the products, it is from applying makeup. I can't go out or start the day without putting makeup on first. otherwise, I deny the fact that the person in front of the mirror is me.
There are new makeup products coming out everyday. There are new ways of applying them all the time. I love to go through pages to pages online just to look at those beautiful images. They are distressing. Shopping is a way to temporarily distress you. But as soon as you get home, those items that make you seem happy can turn into more stress for you. You feel bad, you feel guilty.
Here is my story and solution. I haven't been on social media recently. Yes, I am stressed. I am confused. I always try to fix things but not this time. My anxiety level goes so high that I can't sleep. I am exhausted. I know I need something like meditation to clear my mind and let it go. But lets be honest, i tried meditation a year ago. The more I try, the harder I can concentrate. I cant just sit there with my eyes closed for 10 minutes. What if I fall asleep? I have so many errands to run, I have to pick up the kid. I walked by my makeup room,picked up a lipstick, talked to myself "with you, I still can't conquer the world. whoever said makeup empowers woman must not experience pain" I looked at myself in the mirror. I look tired, swollen eyes with dark circles. my lips are dry. I have been spending most of time worrying about other people, but i can't change anything. what about me? how can I forget to worry about myself? When was the last time that I sit down and drink some water? You know that lots of times, those anxiety can partially come from you not feeling good about yourself. At that moment, i found the perfect meditation for myself, which is applying makeup. Not like sitting and breathing, applying makeup slowly actually helps me concentrate nobody but myself and that is exactly what I need. everything changes, including your emotions. Only when you truly see yourself, you can see everything more clear. So I started with applying toners. I enjoy doing it slowly, it allows me to feel the changes of my skin. It helps me get to know myself better. Like everybody says, only when you focus on yourself, things start to change.

 5. Applying medium to full coverage foundation. Just because it is summer time, doesn't mean you cannot use full coverage foundation. The trick is that you dont have to apply the foundation your entire face. Applying the light color only on the center of the face, if you happen to have a darker color one, use it as a couture. Using the same brand will make it less noticeable when the foundation starts to fall  apart. Cover fx power play and shiseido skin glow are both very long lasting and have good coverage. Shiseido has a more glowing finish effect.

​6 mix liquid concealer with foundation when concealing. This is the same concept as using foundation to couture.  It will make the whole look look more natural.

7 Using setting powder to set your makeup even if you have dry skin.  Simply apply this PALE powder with powder puff and lightly tap on skin to cover problem areas.  Microscopic powder particles create a virtual blur affect Color-corrective duo that conceals skin blemishes and evens out skin tone for smooth-looking skin. step 1: spraying some dry shampoo to create volume and texture. Dry shampoo is such a god send product.Its not just used to get rid of oils and dirts, its mainly used to create volumn. If you are still trying to texurize your hair by crimping it, try this product. It will save you lots of time.
step 2: sectioning your hair. Some people may think this is unnecessary. To the contrary, sectioning the hair plays a vital role in how the whole hairstyle is going to look. The correct sectioning can shape your face and accentuate your good features. For this specific look, first section the whole head into 3 parts.  For the sides, the end stops at the tips of the ears. Then for the back, you can section it into either 2 or 3 layers. The first layer stops at the tips of the ears, To add more volumns and layers, you can also section another one at the crown area.
​step 3: please spray some heat protector and comb the hair
step 4: spray texure spray or finish spray. I like to spray finish spray. I found out it helps hold my curls so much longer and the curls made afterwards are prettier. I have super thick and straight hair,  I love kendra's dry oil high hold finish spray. It adds shines and keeps freeze away.
step 5: curling your hair at correct directions. Almost all undone look requires specific patterns.  For both sides, curl your hair away from your face, for the back of your hair, curl towards your face. To make it easier to curl your back hair, divide it into 2 section vertically and pull it front so that you can see.
you can either using the wrap around method or use just regular curling method. The tool I used is ghd 1 inch curling iron.  It is my favorite. It is so easy to use,  fast heat up, one temperature. and the hair looks super shining after curling. Leave the end straight to make it look more effortless.

step 6: use your finger to pull strands out instead of using round brush. This way, it wont add fly aways
step 7, use some light hair oil. This will make your curls look luxurious. And no, it wont weight your hair down.

Part of reason that make me decide to be a bridal makeup artist is that I love weddings. It simply makes my heart smile..  Wedding season is here.. I live in Huntington beach, California. There are people getting married every day. 
I know there are people who are reluctant to go to those weddings. But I just enjoy the good vibes there, I enjoy watching the beautiful bride walking down the isle with her picked wedding gown, or watching people having fun doing terrible dance. So today I am going to share some bridal makeup tips and tricks about bridal makeup to help your makeup last all day long, and it will make you look your best both in person and in photos. Lets start.

Rose water is woman's best friend. It moisturize your skin and hair. you can also use it to set up your makeup. Once you start using it, its hard to go without it.
Another spray I can't live without is smashbox photo finish mist. The hydrating, superfine facial spray uses revitalizing electrolytes to leave your skin looking radiant as it creates a sheer canvas for makeup application and helps lock in makeup to give you a photo-ready finish. And it is free of silicone, alcohol, and oil.

The last thing bride wants to see are those dark circles in the pictures. Instead of using byebye undereye, I love this japanese concealer. It works like magic. The coverage is amazing and it moisturize your eye without making it look cakey. Another magic tool is shiseido luminizing satin face color. This was originally used for highlighter, it was found out later on that it covers eye bags like magic. one swipe, undereye circles are gone.

For wedding makeup, it is ok that conture looks heavier than your daily makeup. The camera will wash off most of the makeup. I like to use matty finish instead of glitters also for the photo reason.

Make your eyebrow color darker and longer for photo purpose. The flash of the camera will very likely wash off the tail of your eyebrows. To make sure your eyebrow stay put, use mascara strengthener. its great for keeping eyebrows in place.

Brown smokey eye look is the most requested and classic look. To make sure the color shows well in photos, I like to use eyeshadow stick to couture my eyes instead of using powder eyeshadows. Eyeshadow sticks are highly pigmented, long lasting and you don't even need an eye primer. Try to use the majority of colors with matte finish. And add shimmer in the inner corner of the eyes.
eyelashes and eyeliner are so important for framing your eyes. We all know they need to be waterproof, there is another trick you can use. put some setting powder on the lower lash line. It will keep mascara and eyeliner from smudging.

It is always safe to go with nude colors. Using lip liners first will help keep lip color smudging. If you have dry lips, use lip balm on top. It helps a lot, trust me.

The retro glam vintage Hollywood waves hairstyle is back. There are so many ways to achieve this look. I am going to show you the easiest way to get this look with a curling iron. So you can get this look at home in 10 minutes. ​​

It is all about sectioning the hair and keeping the waves at the same direction. I like to hold my curling iron horizontally and twist and wrap each strand around the curling iron three times. leave it about 5 seconds and let it go. Since I have medium length hair and I dont want to shorten my hair, I hold the end tight and leave it straight.This way, the waves look more natural and more wearable.
